The standard formula: characters typed divided by 5, divided by minutes elapsed — timed from your first keystroke to the last character of the snippet.
Why does my best score only save at 100% accuracy?+
So a fast but sloppy run full of typos can't inflate your personal best — only clean, fully correct runs count toward it.
Where is my best score stored?+
In your browser's local storage. It's tied to this device and browser, not an account, so it won't follow you to another browser.
Can I paste the snippet instead of typing it?+
No — pasting is disabled so the result reflects your actual typing speed.
