92 Quote Equalizer
Compare quotes. Reveal missing costs. Choose with clarity.
Enter 2–6 supplier quotes, see exactly what's included, excluded, or still unpriced, compare recurring and one-time costs on equal footing, and export a clear report — all calculated locally in your browser, nothing uploaded.
A quote comparison tool that shows what each price actually covers
Two supplier quotes rarely cover the same ground. One quoted amount might include tax and installation; another might exclude both. 92 Quote Equalizer puts every quote on equal footing by separating what's actually known from what's still assumed, so a lower headline number doesn't quietly hide a higher real cost.
It works for contractor and renovation quotes, website and professional-services proposals, hosting and software subscriptions, and everyday product purchases — anywhere you're weighing a supplier quotation comparison and want the hidden quote costs surfaced before you commit.
Enter quotes, check for gaps, then compare
1. Enter quotes
Add a supplier name and quoted amount for each quote — 2 to 6 at a time. Everything else is optional.
2. Check missing items
Switch to detailed mode to mark what's included, extra, or excluded per line item, and see exactly what still needs an answer.
3. Compare and export
Review the comparable totals, copy ready-made supplier questions, and export a print report, CSV, or JSON backup.
Transparent, documented math — no hidden assumptions
Tax treatment: if tax is included, the gross amount equals what was entered; if excluded, gross equals the amount plus your entered rate; if unknown, the comparable total stays unresolved rather than silently assuming zero tax.
Currency: the comparison currency only relabels amounts for display — it never converts between currencies, so every quote should be entered in the same currency.
Included allowances: an allowance already counted in the headline amount is never added again. An optional replacement scenario swaps it out using: known total − allowance (gross) + replacement (gross).
Recurring costs: setup fees, introductory pricing, and renewal rates are tracked separately over a comparison horizon (12, 24, 36, or custom months) so you can compare hosting renewal costs honestly instead of being misled by an introductory rate.
Common questions
How does the quote comparison tool work?+
Enter each supplier's quoted amount and tax treatment, then check for missing items using the scope matrix and items-to-clarify list, and compare the resulting totals side by side. Everything recalculates instantly as you type.
Can it compare contractor quotes with different inclusions?+
Yes — the detailed scope matrix lets you mark each line item (installation, delivery, disposal, and more) as included, an extra cost, excluded, not required, or not specified for every supplier, so hidden quote costs surface before you decide.
Does it convert currencies?+
No. Changing the comparison currency only relabels the amounts you've entered — it never converts between currencies. Enter every quote in the same currency for a meaningful comparison.
Can I compare hosting renewal costs or other recurring charges?+
Yes — the recurring-costs panel separates setup fees from ongoing charges, supports introductory pricing with a separate renewal rate, and shows the committed cash payable over a 12, 24, 36, or custom-month horizon.
Is my quote data uploaded anywhere?+
No. All calculations run locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly download or print a report yourself. An optional local-save feature stores your project only in your own browser's storage.
Why is there no single 'best quote' badge sometimes?+
The lowest-cost badge is withheld whenever a quote is incomplete (unresolved tax, unpriced exclusions) or when suppliers disagree on the quantity or specification of the same scope item — comparing totals wouldn't be meaningful until that's resolved.
